Every once in a while, I read complaints about how big and bloated the Nero suite is. That is why I am curious which applications people actually do use and which they don't use. This is just for my private information. original.gif

I used Nero a long time ago. However it just got too bloated and too damn big for my taste. Using ImgBurn now and loving it.

Nero Showtime (for videos BSPlayer is unable to open) and Nero Express. Nero Home first looked awesome but it is a really feature-poor app.

Nero Burning ROM and Nero Vision.
Moved to Nero after I noticed movie maker and the vista video import were dropping frames beyond normal. I find it quite nice that Nero Vision counts frames caputured and frames lost. I've had ZERO frames drop on the past four tapes (each and hour and a half) I've put in today for a project. DV Connection, and this is on a laptop, 1.5GB ram.

On my older HP machine (Vista Ultimate, 1GB ram, three hard drives) it drops about 30 frames for a hour and a half tape.

Nero 7 (essentials). If 9 isn't on the way soon, I'm considering getting Nero 8 and just installing the basics I use.
Gotten so darn expensive though pinch.gif

99% of my time only using Nero Burning ROM. I am still using Nero7, the V8 upgrade fee doesn't worth that much to me.
