I have two issues:

1. When we upgraded our board from phpbb3 our new IPB assigned member ID#s by some unknown (at least to me) criteria (i.e. it didn't assign them by join date).

2. I can't figure out how to change this.

Any tips?

thanks!

There is no option in IPB to change member ID numbers, they are used in most IPB tables to associate members to all of the various other parts of the board, and reliably changing all of those (plus any mods you might install later) would be impossible. What number you are doesn't affect anything about how the board works for you, it would just be a psychological thing, so it's best you just learn to live with these. It would probably be a good idea, though, to check the Convertors bug tracker to see if that has been reported as a bug.

I'm not sure because i haven't checked the converter but i believe when you convert a board that the join date all get reset to the same anyway so this isn't a issue. That said you can contact ips if you want as this is a support issue.
